CreativePause
Creative wellbeing through music & art
As someone who has navigated dyslexia and dyspraxia myself, I understand that learning and expression are not one-size-fits-all. This has influenced the way I design sessions, embracing flexible, creative, and accessible approaches across different ways of thinking, feeling, and learning.
My Music & Art Story
With extensive experience in music education and mental health settings, I have seen how powerful creative expression can be in supporting confidence, connection and emotional wellbeing. Alongside my work as a piano teacher, I am currently training as a Music Therapist, and my research explores the relationship between music, creativity and mental health. This training continues to deepen and inform my approach.
Alongside my passion for music, I have always been drawn to visual art and the many ways creativity can be expressed. Bringing art and music together allows people to explore ideas, feelings and imagination in playful and meaningful ways. Whether through drawing, storytelling, songwriting or improvisation, these creative processes offer a natural and enjoyable way to express ourselves.
My work has included supporting individuals in both educational and mental health contexts and contributing to music support initiatives. I currently run a weekly creative group within a school setting, supporting children through music, art and storytelling.
These sessions bring music and visual art together in a supportive shared space. Through piano, improvisation, storytelling, songwriting and reflective art making, sessions invite exploration, expression and connection.
I offer one-to-one sessions as well as group work, including creative groups for children and the Women’s Creative Circle, a monthly gathering for women navigating the menopause transition. These sessions offer space for reflection, creativity and shared experience in a calm and supportive environment.
Creating space to pause, connect and rediscover confidence through music, creativity and wellbeing. I look forward to connecting and inspiring your journey. Thank you, Hannah.
Music & Art Sessions
The studio offers imaginative sessions where music, art and storytelling come together in a playful, supportive environment.
These sessions are designed to give children space to explore creativity through sound, movement, drawing and storytelling. While the piano is often used as a starting point, children are also introduced to a variety of instruments and sounds, encouraging curiosity and musical discovery.
The studio environment allows children to experiment with rhythm, melody and creative ideas in a relaxed and encouraging setting. Music and art are woven together so that children can express themselves in different ways, whether through drawing what they hear, creating stories inspired by music, or composing simple musical ideas of their own.
Rather than focusing on performance, the emphasis is on exploration, confidence and creative expression. Each child is encouraged to develop their own ideas while feeling supported and inspired within the group. Sessions are located in the South West at various venues.

Women’s Creative Circle
Perimenopause & Menopause
The Women’s Creative Circle is a welcoming space for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
This stage of life often brings change, reflection, and new questions about identity, creativity, and well-being. The circle offers a calm, supportive environment where music, art and creative expression provide an opportunity to pause, reconnect and explore new possibilities.
Sessions usually begin with gentle, calming piano music, creating a quiet moment to arrive, settle and transition into the space. From there, the group is invited to explore creative activities together in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
No musical or artistic experience is needed, only curiosity and openness to creativity.
What the sessions may include
• Gentle piano improvisation and musical exploration
• Songwriting and reflective lyric writing
• Creative journaling and storytelling
• Visual art and expressive mark-making
• Shared creative reflection and conversation
Each session is designed to allow creativity to unfold naturally, with space for both individual expression and shared experience.

At its heart, the circle is about rediscovering creativity, creating space to explore ideas, express emotions and reconnect with the joy of making music and art alongside others.

Private Sessions
Private sessions offer a personalised, creative space for adults and children who would like dedicated time to explore music and art in a supportive studio environment.
These one-to-one sessions are shaped around the individual's interests, pace and creative curiosity. Some people come to explore music and creativity for the first time, while others are returning to creative expression after a long pause.
Sessions provide space to slow down, experiment and develop ideas without pressure or expectations.
My work is informed by my experience in music education and my training as a music therapist, bringing a thoughtful and supportive approach to each session.
For adults, sessions provide space to reconnect with creativity, explore music and art in a relaxed setting, and enjoy the process of making without pressure.
Some people come to develop musical skills, while others simply want a creative space to reflect, experiment and express themselves.
Private sessions offer:
• A calm and supportive studio environment
• Time to explore creativity at your own pace
• Encouragement without judgement or expectation
• Space to reconnect with music and artistic expression
Creative Pause private sessions are about creating time to pause, explore and rediscover creativity in a way that feels natural, personal and meaningful.
No musical experience is required.
Private sessions are open to anyone who would like to explore creativity through music and art. Some people come with previous musical experience, while others are simply curious to try something new.
Sessions can include piano, voice, simple instruments, art materials, storytelling or creative exploration, allowing each person to engage in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.
The focus is not on technical skill, but on expression, curiosity and the freedom to explore creativity at your own pace.
